Lost dog near Glamis. Help find Oliver!! If you have seen him please call the number below! Hey everyone if y’all can share on other groups to help this guy it would be great Hi everyone I am still looking for Oliver. He’s been missing since New Year’s Eve and I’ve been out in the vendor area since then looking for him. If anyone is out here over the next few weeks please keep an eye out for him. He is very special to my family and we’ve been spending almost every day out here for a month trying to find him. He’s a 3 year old black and white dachshund/lab mix. Very friendly and has tags on him. He was originally lost near the Glamis store, spotted in wash 13 on Jan 3rd then nothing since then. I’m not losing hope so any help is greatly appreciated. My phone number is 909 724-8556.

#baldmountain OHV is open for snow wheeling. Here is the map with the open trail in green. Access via Dinkey Creek side. Lower Green gate to the Tower is open. Make sure someone in your group has a chainsaw. It's been windy up there and trees will fall even after you've gone to the tower and on the way out, the trail could be blocked. It's happened. Go prepared and be safe everyone.

Clovis Independent 4 Wheelers Adopt-A-Trail program with the SNF has ensured that the Bald Mountain OHV is cleared and open for use. You should still go prepared with at least one in your group having a chainsaw. With all the wind associated with the recent and current storms, some trees could have fallen. Go Prepared. Have fun!

We encourage your club to write a letter to support this bill. Out of state OHV users come and use our trails. They don’t contribute anything financial to the maintenance and upkeep of our trails. Attached is the letter that Clovis Independent 4 Wheelers submitted. Clovis Independent 4 Wheelers is a family oriented off road club located in the Central Valley of California. We work and volunteer with the Sierra National Forest on a few Adopt-A-Trails within the Forest OHV Trai...Continue reading

PISMO BEACH, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) Off-roading to start back up at Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area and Pismo State Beach later this month. California State Parks announced a three-phased reopening plan for vehicular use at Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) and Pismo State Beach (SB), starting Friday, Oct. 30, 2020. Vehicular access to all state park units was closed in March to prevent visitation surges and help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.... Phase One: Scheduled for Friday, October 30 Day Use Hours: Both park units will be open daily from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. for day use by visitors who can walk, bike or drive in with a street legal vehicle (e.g. jeeps or trucks). Vehicle Access: Street legal vehicles, such as jeeps and trucks, will be allowed on the dunes. And Green Sticker off-highway vehicles (OHV) will remain temporarily prohibited from entering the park at this time. Staff will monitor conditions and operations to determine when to restore Green Sticker OHV activity. Visitation: As the State of California continues to protect Californians from the COVID-19 pandemic and for the protection of natural resources, the daily allowed number of street legal vehicles will be temporarily limited to 1,000 per day, for both park units. While State Parks does not anticipate this operational change to impact visitation since this is considered the off-season, over the next few weeks there may be instances where the maximum allowance of vehicles will be met and no further vehicles will be allowed to enter the beach due to the temporary capacity requirement. Camping: Oceano Dunes SVRA: During the initial reopening phase, no overnight camping opportunities will be provided at Oceano Dunes SVRA (beach camping area). Staff will monitor conditions and operations over the next few weeks to determine when to restore these experiences. The public is advised that when campgrounds reopen, they will do so at a reduced and limited capacity (100 sites) to support a safe and healthy environment for employees, natural resources and visitors. Pismo SB: On September 21, developed campgrounds at Pismo SB reopened to visitors. Reservations are required. To book your reservation, please visit www.ReserveCalifornia.com. RELATED: New study challenges past air pollution findings at Oceano Dunes Phase Two: Date to be determined. Vehicle Access: Green Sticker OHVs will be allowed on the dunes. Visitation: The daily allowed number of street legal vehicles will continue to be temporarily limited to 1,000 per day, for both park units. Camping: A total of 100 camping sites at Oceano Dunes SVRA will be become available to the public. Phase Three: Date to be determined. State Parks expands day-use opportunities and camping inventory as environmental conditions allow and in alignment with state and local public health orders. https://bakersfieldnow.com//off-roading-to-return-to-ocean

CI4W Volunteers travel fuel reimbursement for executing the grant was denied for our 2016 grant, and they then audited our G14 and 15.. The OHV Division allowed fuel reimbursement from Base of Operation; which is where the club would keep their tools, chainsaws, materials, etc... then drive to the trailhead; which is considered the Project Site, well after the OHV Division came under State Parks for G17, they retroactively changed the regulations without doing it in writing,... rather in "practice ". They decided to make the Base of Operations the same as the Project Site and did it without prior notice. This has become a HUGE part of the receipts being denied. The OHV division approved in their Grants for Volunteers to be reimbursed, then afterwards said we couldn't do it and in fact, wanted us to return funds. We did not and we gave them their G18 grant back; which was $90,000. We're volunteers, we don't need their money, the OHV trails need their money and because the OHV Division attitude changed, we walked away. See more

CORVA ALERT Forest Service Temporarily Closes All National Forests in California. Effective at 5:00pm this evening, the Regional Forester, Randy Moore, has or...dered all forests in California Closed. This is an additional 10 to the 8 already closed on Monday afternoon. Please steer clear of forest roads and highways to allow access for our first responders. Please keep all of these hero's and their safety in your thoughts and prayers. VALLEJO, Calif., September 9, 2020 Due to unprecedented and historic fire conditions throughout the state, the USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region is announcing a temporary closure of an additional ten National Forests, meaning all eighteen National Forests in California are now closed. The closure of the additional ten forests will be effective at 5:00 pm today. These additional forests include the Eldorado National Forest, Klamath National Forest, Lassen National Forest, Mendocino National Forest, Modoc National Forest, Six Rivers National Forest, Plumas National Forest, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Tahoe National Forest, and Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. This decision will be re-evaluated daily as conditions change. We had closed eight National Forests on Monday evening, Sept. 7, 2020. Explosive growth of fires throughout California during the day and late evening of Sept. 8th led to this updated decision. The number of large fires and extreme fire behavior we are seeing across the State is historic," said Regional Forester Randy Moore. "These temporary closures are necessary to protect the public and our firefighters, and we will keep them in place until conditions improve and we are confident that National Forest visitors can recreate safely. I ask all Californians and visitors to take these closures and evacuations seriously for their own safety and to allow our firefighters to focus on the mission of safely suppressing these fires ."

NOTICE: If you're heading up the Bald Mtn OHV, be aware and expect delays.. I received a message from law enforcement in regards to traffic on the 9S09 road (Ro...ck Creek). Lots of forest visitors and logging are happening on the road at the same time. Due to safety precautions Messer logging will be having extended traffic control on the road as they are felling trees, and loading the trees. Please be aware of the possible delay if fire response occurs, and the safety concerns of lots of people combined with logging operations in the area. See more
