Hello Everyone! It's that time of year again and the Yosemite Brass Consortium is in full swing once more. We will have more concerts and a few guest conductors this semester so don’t miss out! Our rehearsal days have changed from last year, we will now rehearse on Wednesday nights from 6-7pm. The reason for this change is because having it right after school last year made it difficult for people to travel from farther places in order to attend. Also having it on Wednesday s...hould not effect any Winter Percussion or Guard rehearsals depending on the school. This new set up should be more convenient and allow more members to participate in this ensemble. Rehearsals will begin next Wednesday January 15 in room E01. See map below. Bring someone with you next Wednesday and build our ensemble even bigger, I will give you all updates on our numbers as the week progresses.

What a great first year! Congratulations to all of our performers in the first year of this new ensemble! Get ready for more. Looking ahead to the summer. We will be hosting some brass workshops where we will bring in guest musicians to give master classes during the day and ending with an evening performance! Dates will be announced very soon and a registration link will be sent out to reserve your spot! This will be offered to the entire community so do not hesitate when s...igning up! There wont be any more rehearsals this semester!

Hello everyone! This Thursday is our LAST rehearsal before our upcoming concert next Tuesday (April 30th) evening. To accommodate more members to be able to attend we will be pushing the rehearsal back in the evening from 6 7:30pm. Please make the necessary arrangements to be there! The Fresno State Trumpet Festival and the Fresno City College Brass Bash have combined forces this year! The event will take place at Fresno State in the Music Building on Friday, March 29th, registration starts at 3:00PM. Featured this year is Fresno native Justin Emerich, former member of the Canadian Brass and current Professor of Trumpet at Michigan State! There will be Master Classes for Trumpet, Horn, and Trombone/Tuba, a Mass Brass Ensemble directed by FCC Director of Bands Elisha Wells, and an evening concert featuring Justin Emerich. Clinicians will include Justin Emerich, Trumpet, Elisha Wells, Horn, and Bay Area freelance artist Jonathan Seiberlich, Tuba/Low Brass. This is a FREE EVENT open to brass players of all ages and skill levels! Registration information is on the flier below.
