Clearie's Restaurant and Lounge

Hi Everyone! We've been receiving calls and messages from our fabulous guests, inquiring as to when we will be opening back up. Thank you, we love you all too, and we are as excited as you are to get back up and running. However, as much as we would love to reopen right now, we are all going to have to wait a bit longer for a couple of reasons. First of all, we are not quite finished with our "face lift". There are several more items to complete on that to-do list. And no one... wants to see our building with it's "make-up" off. But mostly, we have decided to wait at least a few weeks longer to see how stage 2 part deux plays out. I'm not sure if you have all read the guidelines and restrictions set out for restaurants to reopen, (if not, I assure you, it's a long and fascinating read, I've been through it several times), but we feel that our very small establishment cannot meet the current requirements. Usually, we love the size of our restaurant, it's cozy, romantic, always seems full. We love working closely with one another in our tiny kitchen and service areas. And if we bump into customers at the host stand, well, that's just an opportunity to give a hug or two. So please, we ask you for a bit more patience. We will be posting updates as we get closer to our grand reopening. And when we do reopen, oh my, what a party that will be!!!

Good morning friends!! We just wanted to take a moment to check in... How is everyone holding up? Do you miss us as much as we miss you? We hope so, nothing is worse then unrequited love. We are certainly looking forward to opening up again. Robbie has been taking advantage of this opportunity to glow up our building with a new roof, new carpeting, and other big fixes that are a little too complicated when you have company over for dinner. When we do open our doors i...t will be with a new summer menu, so look forward to Chef Les' lighter but equally mouth watering summer fair, as well as a score of refreshing sunny weather cocktails. The staff has been keeping in touch via group message since our closure. Basically a lot of quality time with family, gardening, hiking, spring cleaning, video gaming, and home cooking seems to be keeping everyone occupied and comforted during this blip of unemployment.... Oh yes, and drinking, *cough* John ;). Most of us have never been unemployed before, so it took some real getting used to before we learned how to track the days of the week without our work schedules. So far no breakups to report, everyone seems to be tolerating their significant others with a nominal amount of grace, though times like this shine a light on how much indeed absence does make the heart grow fonder. Some breaking news highlights from the staff are... -Jen baked bread -Chef Les DIDN'T bake bread -Chris got a pet fish -Amanda fell head first into her green can -John drank whiskey...again -Greg made ramen not from a bag -Derek played Destiny all night long So, as you can see, pretty exciting stuff over here. Please comment some of your quarantine news highlights, we'd love to hear from you! It's Saturday so if you want to tip a drink later we highly recommend the "Quarentini," which is any alcohol you have in your cupboard, with equal parts whatever juice or mix you have in your fridge, or just straight and chilled, or just poured in a coffee mug at room temperature... It's fine no one is looking. Bottom line is, we miss you all, we are still here, and we can hardly wait to see you again. Cheers to health! Cheers to Family! Cheers to Friends! See you soon

Alrighty.... We are sorry to say that after much deliberation, we at Clearie's have decided to close our doors until this crisis comes to pass. It's for the best, we need our community to stay healthy. We will miss you, and we thank you for your support leading up to our closure! We will reopen bigger, brighter, and better then ever in what we hope will only be a couple to a few short weeks. Robbie and Jennifer are busy today handing out paychecks, and helping employees... get unemployment paperwork squared away. Lucky for us we are a tight knit family here, and we have a strong support group amongst the staff. Unlucky for us, we are really going to miss spending time with our friends everyday, many of you included. We would like to leave you with three very appropriately timed cliches... Good day everyone! Hope you are all feeling warm, and cozy in this time of sustained isolation. We have a riddle for you.... What is hot, and delicious, and easily enjoyed in the comfort of your own car or home? Answer -- Clearie's Curbside Takeout!! Call us anytime during our normal business hours, and we will box up your favorite Chef Les creations , and run them straight out to your car! ... We have refered to Chef Les as our culinary Mick Jagger in the past, so just think of this as listening "Beast of Burden" on your home system rather than seeing it live. Of course a live performance is a little more exciting, but sometimes you just gotta curl up on your sofa, put on some tunes, and eat our Filet Mignon Meatloaf in your jimmy-jams. Hello friends! We just wanted to let everyone know that we are open for business, and will be maintaining our usual business hours until further notice. The Friday and Saturday late night program is the only cut back we are making at the moment, but the full menu will still be available until 9pm on weekdays, and 10pm on weekends. We of course, along with many other bars and restaurants in town, greatly appreciate any patronage the community can afford to give us in these... uncertain circumstances. We are taking all the necessary sanitary precautions to keep our clientelle safe, but we absolutely understand why certain higher risk individuals feel uncomfortable going out right now. To all of you who are self quarantined, take care of yourselves, we will miss you, and are excited to see you after this crisis comes to pass. If you do decide to venture out please remember Clearie's.... We have delicious food, nutritious drinks, a good amount of social distance between tables, curbside takeout, plentiful T.P., and we would absolutely love to see you. Cheers to our health!
