We have some bald eagle neighbors, so please keep this in mind.
If anyone is interested!
Please keep your pets inside! We have had one report of a cat thought to have been caught by a large predator, likely a coyote or mountain lion kill. Of course, they are a vital part of our ecosystem. However, this is their breeding season, which can make them more aggressive. Also, freeway construction may be pushing more of them our direction and dry conditions are driving them towards the lake for water. Please be aware!
"Advice is like snow - the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper it sinks into the mind." - Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Happy first day of Fe...bruary Lake County. Our office has been working hard to connect property owners in our area regarding fallen limbs and trees in the aftermath of the unusual snowstorm. PG&E has been and still is working to address trees and limbs near their lines in our area. However, if you are concerned about any remaining vegetation that may still be a hazard or concern, please contact them directly to make a vegetation management request at (800)743-5000 or (877)295-4949.
Thank you to the crew at Public Works!
They are working hard out there! Please don't venture out unless you must!
Vanilla Double Cream Cupcakes are just one of the many delights available at the bakery for Valentine's Day. We even have some Valentine flowering plants, orchids, and more this weekend with a plant pop-up by Dilley's Dally. Stop by!!
It’s been a long time since station 56 had to hand shovel the apron to safely get the engine out! Be extremely cautious driving in these conditions, as not all side streets have been cleared of snow and ice!
PG&E has hired Loggers Unlimited to perform some hazard reduction work around power lines in our area. I stopped to check in with one of their crews today. They have several crews out working and have called in some extra crews to perform chipping. Our office has received some calls concerning the chipping piles left at the roadside. They assured me that they will return to chip within several days.
