Grants range between $5,000 and $25,000 depending on the size of the business. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY? CA Small Business Relief Grant -- ****UPDATE: deadline is Jan 13 Applications Now Open... We are pleased to announce that the application period for Round 1 of the California Small Business Covid-19 Relief Grant program is now open. Small businesses and nonprofits can visit www.CAReliefGrant.com and apply for micro grants up to $25,000. Assistance is available in all counties and in multiple languages. Grants will not be issued on a first-come, first-served basis and first round of applications ends January 8, 2021. Please note that applications opened today, Wednesday, December 30th, 2020. Please take the necessary time to go to the website, review eligibility requirements and application process. If you are experiencing technical difficulties with the high volume demand today, please get ready your documents and circle back in lower peak demand times, today and throughout the holiday weekend. NEW STIMULUS PACKAGE Nearly $900B The package includes an extension of the small business Paycheck Protection Program, which expanded eligibility to local newsp...apers, broadcasters and nonprofits. It will direct another $20 billion to small business grants and $15 billion to live event venues. Over the weekend, top leaders finally reached a deal on a $900 billion stimulus package that provides much-needed aid for small businesses, schools and unemployed Americans. Congress is expected to vote on the agreement later today, although exact timing remains unclear. The full details of what will be in the relief package have yet to be released but here are the key provisions, according to a release Sunday evening from House and Senate Democratic leaders: Direct payment checks of up to $600 per adult and child Aid for struggling small businesses, including more than $284 billion for forgivable Paycheck Protection Program loans and $15 billion "in dedicated funding for live venues, independent movie theaters, and cultural institutions" $300 per week for enhanced unemployment insurance benefits $25 billion for rental assistance and an eviction moratorium extension $82 billion for education providers like schools and colleges, including aid to help reopen classrooms safely $10 billion to help with child care assistance $13 billion in increased Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and child nutrition benefits $7 billion to bolster broadband access to help Americans connect remotely during the pandemic Funding totaling in the billions of dollars to support coronavirus vaccine distribution, testing and contract tracing efforts and health care workers A tax credit "to support employers offering paid sick leave" https://www.cnn.com//second-stimulus-check-cong/index.html
