This week for Planning Month, we are highlighting the City's 2040 General Plan Update project! Containing policies that guide everything from transportation, jobs, public safety, to the types of homes available, the General Plan is the City’s blueprint for how and where it will grow over the next 20 years. If you haven't already heard, we are also updating the City's 10 Community Plans! The City has developed potential key strategies to address local mobility, parks, and land use issues and opportunities in your community. We encourage you to share your thoughts on these strategies through a self-guided online workshop from October 620 at www.plansacramento.com! Time for Transformation Tuesday! While this property will still be a work in progress, it is an example of why junk and debris in a yard can be a hazard. Junk and debris can not only be an eye sore in a neighborhood and invite unwanted pests, it also can be a fire danger. In this case, a fire broke out on this property and due to the amount of junk and debris, the fire spread quickly. After the fire, abatement took place with the great coordination between the City Fire Department and Code Enforcement. Take a look at the before, after and aerial photo of the property.
