City of Orange Recreation 05.01.2021

2020 has been quite the year, which is an understatement. Capture this moment in time by creating a time capsule! Gather commemorative items, seal them in a box or container, and bury it in your backyard or hide it in your house in a spot you’ll remember in the future!

In lieu of our traditional Children's Holiday Breakfast, Santa’s helpers delivered toys, books, and school supplies to @orangeusd schools yesterday to help brighten the holidays for over 370 kids. We are so grateful to our partners at @orangecityfire and Spark of Love for the toy donations as well as the the @orangeunifiedcouncilpta for the huge donation of books and schools supplies ! Lastly, thank you to @traderjoes in Orange for providing the festive bags for our gift distribution! It really does take a village!

City of Orange 2020 Virtual Tree Lighting Ceremony Please join us in a 26-year City of Orange tradition, as we proudly present our 2020 Virtual Tree Lighting Ceremony. In December, we traditionally welcome the Season of Light with our annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Candlelight Choir Procession. Of course, these current health guidelines prevent us from gathering together, so we are holding our event virtually this year.... Orange Master Chorale Director, Mike Short, is also preparing a virtual version of the Candlelight Choir show. As soon as it is ready, we will make it available on our City’s Social Media, and on our website, for your viewing enjoyment. We hope you and your family will enjoy both of these special presentations. https://youtu.be/X8jcxxTnR0Y
