In efforts to help end homelessness in Maywood, the City encourages our residents to utilize LA-HOP. This portal allows individuals to make a request to have dispatch homeless services outreach teams to the area. These services focus on mental health, such as crisis intervention, medication support, and other rehabilitative services with the objective of assisting them with housing. Remember, smoke alarms should be installed at least 10 feet away from cooking appliances. Test your alarms m...onthly to ensure they are functioning properly and replace the batteries every six month. Residential fire extinguishers should also be placed on each level of your home, as well as in the kitchen and garage. Keep your kitchen fire extinguisher or fire extinguishing spray close by so it is easily accessible in the event of a fire.
