Due to the low response from Cal City residents, the areas that can apply has now been expanded to North Edwards, Boron, Mojave and Rosamond. All right we need ...everyone’s help . If you have a neighbor a friend anyone who has a pit bull or pit bull type they are doing free neuter and spays. We had to cancel last week not enough pets . THEY WILL NOT OFFER THIS AGAIN IF WE CAN NOT GET MORE CLIENTS FOR THEM, we work hard for this service. And I know there are a lot of pitties here in cal city.EMAIL FOR YOUR APPT. See more

The California City Fire Department wants to remind citizens and visitors to use their fireworks in a Safe and Sanemanner. We also want to remind people that... ONLY Safe and Sane fireworks have been legalized for sale and use in the City limits. Any fireworks that do not have the Fire Marshal seal of approval, or any fireworks that leave the ground or explode, are dangerous and illegal. The use of Safe and Sane fireworks are only permitted June 28th at 12:00pm July 6th 12:00pm. Illegal firework fines start at $1,500.00 dollars. Safe and Sane fireworks can be dangerous if misused or altered from their original form. Every year there are documented cases of injuries and fires started by the use of Safe and Sane fireworks. With more fires breaking out in California each year, doing more and more damage, please consider whether the choices you make are worth the potential unwanted/unintended outcome. The Fire Department encourages citizens to prepare and celebrate safely; only adults should use fireworks and they should have a hose or bucket of water ready to cool off the used fireworks; make sure children are supervised at all times; be cautious when in the street; never throw fireworks in the air. Additionally, you should not use fireworks in or near dry vegetation, or near any buildings. Report all emergencies by calling 9-1-1. Have a safe and memorable holiday and please support your local non-profit organizations by purchasing your fireworks from the local firework stands.

*California City Fire Department New Arrow XT PUC Paramedic Engine 19 placed into Service* For the first time in the city’s history, with support from the commu...nity, the California City Fire Department was able to design a fire engine specifically for our community’s needs. This was also critically important for efficient and safe operations of the fire department. This fire engine was designed for the harsh desert environment and all the equipment CCFD must carry for an all-risk, all-hazard department. The new fire engine was methodically researched over several months with many hours of work by our apparatus committee: Fire Captain Jack Walters and Fire Apparatus Engineer Robert Marx. We are grateful for their dedication to excellence and their service to this community. This new fire engine was built in Wisconsin by Pierce Manufacturing and features a 500 horsepower DD13 Detroit diesel engine. The Arrow XT PUC is a unique design that allows for improved firefighter safety and simpler maintenance. It is equipped with a 1,500 gallon per minute pump along with a Husky foam system that holds 25 gallons of Class A firefighting foam and is also capable of pumping Class B firefighting foam along with 750 gallons of water onboard. This engine also features more space for all our fire, rescue, and ALS/BLS EMS equipment, contains interior materials easily cleaned to reduce carcinogen exposure to our firefighters, multiple fire hose pre-connects of different sizes to enhance fire-attack capabilities, and pump and roll capable. Thank you for the continuous support of the California City Fire Department.

This note was left on Chief Walker’s patrol vehicle while he stopped to get a bite to eat. While it would appear to be a small thing to some, it is tremendous for us. All of us at CCPD thank you.
