"Many people are ready to gather and we expect in-person events to resume in the coming months. But certain virtual elements are here to stay no matter what as we now know of many ways to expand our clients/ events to much larger guest lists and audiences." Come check out Tyler Huffman's presentation at BNI City Center this coming Wednesday at 7:45 AM! If you have an event like a wedding on the horizon, he's the man with a plan to make it happen in style. #oakland #wedding #smallbusiness #events #eventplanner #dj

Dear friends, I wanted to share with you these 3 brutal facts: 1.) Now, more then ever, many students who would not qualify to receive any support from the CARES Act are in need of funds ... 2.) My hair is getting way too long. 3.) I have a bit more time on my hands. Wouldn’t you like to join me in doing something fun for a great cause? On Sunday, May 31st, my wife and my 2 kids (5 &8) will be cutting my hair in an effort to raise money for student scholarships for Peralta Colleges Foundation. Here is where this gets interesting - YOU will get to determine the style of my haircut based on the total amount raised! $0-$1,000 - My normal, some may say boring, financial advisor haircut. $1,000-$2,499 - Buzz Cut $2,500-$4,999 - Flat Top $5,000-$7,499 - Bowl Cut $7,500-$9,999 - Mohawk $10,000 + - The Constanza I will keep the haircut for one week and post photos from my daily routine. I have gone to the same hair dresser and worn the same haircut for years...and would absolutely hate wearing any of those options especially when it’s done by my kids. This is truly your once in a life time chance to make me do something that I hate, while donating to a really important cause! The coronavirus pandemic has already undoubtedly exacerbated the economic struggles that many students of the four Peralta Colleges (College of Alameda, Laney College, Berkeley City College and Merritt College) face on a daily basis. In light of the mandatory statewide order for Californians to shelter-in-place, many students and their families have experienced reduced job hours, and have lost their part time jobs supporting their basic needs. To answer the call, the Foundation has established the COVID-19 Crisis Impact Fund to help students meet such needs. As a component of the Peralta Colleges Foundation’s Emergency Disaster Response initiative, COVID-19 Crisis Impact Fund would be made available for students facing food and housing insecurities, as well as those in need of critical supplies like laptop computers and internet access during this unforeseen period. We need your support. Please consider making a contribution to the COVID-19 Crisis Impact Fund today. Now show me the MONEY!
