Ready to take down the tree? Christmas trees can be dropped off for free waste to energy recycling at Wheelabrator, located at 20811 Industry Rd. Their hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 8am-5pm. You can learn more about their wood to energy program, guidelines and contact information here: https://www.wtienergy.com//independent/wheelabrator-shasta You can also dispose Christmas trees using your green waste bins. Remember to REMOVE all ornaments, decorations, and tinsels and CUT the tree into smaller pieces to fit into green waste bin. PLACE the bin to be picked up on your regular collection day. FULL SIZE trees will not be accepted. Flocked trees cannot be recycled, and must be disposed of through regular trash service.
