The Planning Commission of the City of San Juan Bautista gives notice of a public hearing on December 14, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Written comments may be hand delivered or mailed to City Hall (311 Second Street, P.O. Box 1420, San Juan Bautista, CA 95045), or emailed to [email protected], not later than 5:00 p.m., December 11, 2020. During the public hearing, the following items will be discussed: Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow on-site sales of alcoholic bev...erages (Type 41 license) for the property located at 300 Third Street (currently Mission Café) Assessor’s Parcel Number: 002-160-010 The Meeting will be virtual via Zoom. Beginning tonight at midnight and lasting at least three weeks, and likely longer, the Stay at Home order issued by the State of California are the guidelines our assigned region will need to comply with in order to give those battling Covid19 a chance. We have moved beyond the tiered system for the time being and are under the Stay at Home order as a result of our region not having enough capacity for cases requiring hospitalization. A brief summary of what to expect Monda...y December 7 until further notice follows below. Please read the full Stay at Home Order in the images attached. - 10:00 PM - 5:00 AM Curfew Remains in effect - Face coverings must be worn indoors, and when maintaining a 6 foot distance outdoors, from those you do not live with is not possible. - Playground structures are closed. - Parklets and outdoor seating cannot be utilized for consumption of food or beverages. - The following will need to be closed to the public, except for TO-GO orders only: 18th Barrel Bear's Hideaway Brewery 25 Daisy's Saloon Brewery 25 Una Mas Saloon - Restaurants can be open for Take-out Orders or Delivery only, which will include Alcoholic Beverages (if they are permitted to do so). You will need to check with the restaurant for their current hours. Dona Esther's Inaka Jardines JJ’s Lolla Margot’s Ice Cream Parlor Mission Café Pizza Factory San Juan Bakery The Smoke Point Vertigo - Hotels and lodging: Are allowed to open for critical infrastructure support only. This includes: Leal Posada Airbnb - Outdoor recreational facilities: Allow outdoor operation only, overnight stays at campgrounds will not be permitted. For example: Fremont Peak Henry Coe Pinnacles - Retail shops may operate indoors at no more than 20% capacity and must follow the guidance for retailers. All access to retail must be strictly metered to ensure compliance with the limit on capacity. The sale of food, beverages, and alcohol for instore consumption is prohibited. Libraries are included in the guidelines for retailers. Our library, San Juan Bautista City Library, is available by appointment only. - Hair Salons, Barber shops and personal Services are closed On a side note, On Monday, December 7, 2020 in honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, the American flag should be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sunset.
