We are amidst a severe fire season throughout the state of California, to include much of Contra Costa County. The Pinole Fire Department recommends that citizens make use of available systems for dissemination of critical safety information regarding wildfires and other emergency situations. The Contra Costa County’s Community Warning System (CWS) is an all-hazards integrated system designed to warn and inform our residents about an emergency or disaster and the protective... action residents need to take to stay safe. If you have an AT&T landline, the County-wide Community Warning System will give you an automated call with instructions on what to do, and where to go as the emergency dictates. If you do not have an AT&T landline, you can register your cable-provided home phone and/or cell phone by going to www.cococws.us or https://cwsalerts.com and registering your device through the Community Warning System Alert Self-Registration Portal.
