We had a crashing good time at our dinner show last Saturday, May 19--cowboy fiddler Dave Rainwater and I managed to stay out of jail, and the dinner guests all got a generous serving of humor and American folk music. Mark Twain shows are back in town! Starting Saturday, May 12 & 19 at 6:00 pm, the Columbia City Hotel in Columbia State Park is kicking off another season of history and fun with their popular Mark Twain dinner theatre shows. The May 12 show will feature Mr. Mark Twain himself, and we will be serving our regular dinner menue, with a free show thrown in for fun. The May 19 show will feature Mark Twain teaming up with the fabulous Dave Rainwater, Gold Country Minstrel and fiddl...e player extaordinaire. The total dinner show cost for this performance is $45.00, and included in that price is a sumptuous three course dinner. Folks, these are two shows you won’t want to miss. Anyway, let’s face it, there’s a lot to celebratethe Mother Lode Roundup, the Sonora Amgen Tour bicycle race, and the Calaveras County Frog Jump Jubilee. These two Mark Twain shows kick off another season of skallywag mayhem and wagon loads of fun at the City Hotel and What Cheer Saloon. Mark Twain Wild West Show! Friday, March 23 at 7:00 pm at Columbia Community College in Columbia, CA., "Jackass Hill, Birthplace of American Literature Out West." It was Jackass Hill where Twain gathered up yarns and tall tales, penning his notes. In Twain’s voice and presence, Pat Kaunert is Mark Twain. The performance delivers a wealth of wisdom, wit, and true spirit of the American West. There is no charge for this show. Families and all ages are welcome--it's a wagon load of fun for all! The presentation will take place at the Dogwood Building, Columbia College. Doors open at 6:30, the trouble begins at 7:00.
