We had such a great time today at TheChurch Live gathering. We lifted up worship to the Lord. We hung out together talked about the words of Jesus. Jesus taught us a different way to live than the culture around us. He said, "He who finds his life will lose it. He who loses his life, for my name sake, will find it". We will never find what we are looking for by asking the question "What can I do to be happy?". No, we will find the life we are looking for by asking, "Who c...an I help today and what will I do to help them". Thanks to all who joined us. Look forward to seeing you again at our next Church Live gathering on Sunday November 15th.

Information about tomorrows live gathering at TheChurch. I sure hope you are having an incredible Saturday. I can't wait to worship with you and your family tomorrow at TheChurch Live gathering - 1:30pm at 1021 S Burke St in Visalia. (Be sure to turn your clocks back for time change.) We are having the service at the location we are currently renting to store our church materials, and have small groups. The owners of the facility have some requirements for meeting outside, s...o in order to meet those requirements and to have a safe experience for all that attend, here are a few things you need to know. 1 - We will check everyones temperature before entering the outdoor courtyard for service. You must have a temperature less than 100.4 to attend. 2 - We will have hand sanitaizer stations for those who would like them. 3 - Everyone in attendance needs to wear a mask. This is for the safety of all. We will have masks available for anyone who does not have one. 4 - We will be singing worship songs, however, we will also be sitting in family clusters and physically distanced. 5 - The message at TheChurch Live will be different than the message that was presented at TheChurch Online this weekend. I sure hope that you, your family, and your friends will join us! It is going to be an incredible time together! God bless and see you tomorrow! PK

Let's Build The Wall. "Like a city whose walls are broken down, is a man who lacks self control." Proverbs 25:28 Back in the day the only thing that kept a city's enemies from coming in and stealing the woman and children, destroying the buildings and killing the King was a wall. A city with a strong wall was a safe city. A city with a weak wall was a targeted city. A city with no wall, was a destroyed city.... God makes an interesting parallel in this passage. He compares a man with no self control to a city that has no walls. Apparently, it is our self control (being able to say yes to the right things and no to the wrong things) that protects us like the walls of an ancient city. It is our self control (saying yes to the right things and no to the wrong things) that will protect our family, our finances, and our faith from the many enemies of our culture. For most of us, myself included, self control is something we generally don't think about until we make a mistake, a dumb purchase, or say something we shouldn't have said. It is in those times when we lose control, that we realize how important self control really is. However, that is the equivalent of an ancient city realizing it has a hole in its wall, as the enemy is climbing in through it. By that time it's too late. Today, let’s make a pledge to ourself to work on self control. Like an ancient city, we have a lot of things that need protected. And if we say yes to the right things, those items will be safe. If we so yes to the wrong things, destruction is right around the corner. Today, let’s build the wall. We live in a world where, it is all about me. My car. My kids. My church. My vision. My job. My walk with God. My world evolves around three different people. Me, myself, and I. If we think otherwise all we need to do is look at the photos on our phone. Our daily life can be so filled with ourself. But should it be that way? Is it suppose to be that way? Take a look at what the Bible says: Hebrews 12:1-2 "Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us la...y aside every weight and sin which does so easily entangle us and let us run with patience the race set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith." When reading this passage, you will notice that there are three words that are strangely absent from the text, "Me, Myself, and I" and there are three words that jump right off of the page. "We, Our, and Us". These powerful words are sprinkled all throughout this passage that describes how to run our one and only race called life. So maybe it is not about you. Maybe it is not about me. Maybe it is really about us. Let US lay aside every weight and sin. Let US run with patience the race set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author of finisher of who's faith? Your faith? My faith? No...OUR faith. A great thing to remember as I run the race of my life, is that, no matter what IT is. IT might not be about me. Just something to think about.
