Many people don’t like the idea of eternal punishment for the ungodly. Some people think God shouldn’t have created the world at all if He knew we were going to sin. But can you imagine never having been born? Others think that the heavenly Father shouldn’t have created man with the ability to sin and to do evil. But would you want to be a robot with no choices and no free will? Our Father decided upon a different alternative: He created human beings with a free will. In this... way, man can receive love from the Creator and choose to glorify Him in return. God gave us the right to decide between love or hate, obedience or disobedience. He understood that choice meant people would sometimes suffer, but that they would have the potential to grow in character. Then God can shape us as we grow in love and submit to Himand in the process, we will be conformed to His likeness. God knew free will was the best option for His created beings. What will you do with yours? I pray that you’ll understand the sacrifice Jesus made for you on the cross and choose to receive His love today. See more

Ever since the Garden of Eden, mankind has been tainted by sin. The bad choices we make each day are merely symptoms of the bigger problemour fleshly nature. But sin has no place in the pure and holy presence of God. As a result, Romans 6:23 says, The wages of sin is death, and there’s nothing we can do to change that. In other words, left to fend for ourselves, we’re doomed to eternal separation from God. But the Father, in His amazing love for us, sent His only Son as th...e solution to our problem. Fully man and fully God, Jesus lived a perfect life and died on the cross for us. He took our sin and endured excruciating suffering and separation from the Father. He took our place and our punishment, dying a criminal’s death on the cross to save us. Three days later, He rose again, conquering sin and death. Out of love, the Savior overcame our dreadful fate and offered us eternal life instead. This great salvation is available to all who believe that Christ is Lord, He died on the cross for our sin, and He rose from the grave. Don’t waitput your trust in Jesus today.

The world tells us that it’s not worthwhile to grieve our sinthat we should forget about past mistakes and seize the day, lest we miss out on something exciting. But grief is a useful and necessary part of being human. Consider what happens when, instead of avoiding pain, we seek God’s comfort, or we try to do right by others who are suffering. And keep in mind that the Lord is no stranger to grief. For example, we see in John 11 that Jesus wept for His friend Lazarus. And on the cross, He experienced unfathomable grief and pain for the sake of the world. Whether we are mourning our own personal losses or the sins of the world, the Lord is with us. And He assures us of more than comfort when we surrender our suffering to Him: He promises His saving grace.

There’s no shame in admitting we require assistance in life, especially since we can’t honestly deny our needs or hide them from our all-knowing God. At one time or another, we’ll all fall, whether physically or emotionally. Knowing we’re not alone can comfort us as we persevere. As our loving Father helps us, He empowers us to reach out to others in need, affirming they too aren’t alone.

It is easier to serve or work for God without a vision and without a call, because then you are not bothered by what He requires. Common sense, covered with a layer of Christian emotion, becomes your guide. You may be more prosperous and successful from the world’s perspective, and will have more leisure time, if you never acknowledge the call of God. But once you receive a commission from Jesus Christ, the memory of what God asks of you will always be there to prod you on to do His will. You will no longer be able to work for Him on the basis of common sense.
