Community Human Services joined forces with local stakeholders to tackle our community's youth homelessness crisis. The goal was to house 100 youth in 100 days. Community Human Services has proudly joined the Coalition of Homeless Service Providers in accepting the 100-Day Challenge to get 100 #HomelessYouth into housing. According to the 2019 homeless census, there were 324 unaccompanied homeless youth in the county. As part of the initiative our Peninsula and Salinas street outreach teams have housed 9 youth and an additional 10 are being processed for housing. Anyone experiencing homelessness under the age of 25 who is seeking housing, may contact the local response team at 831.241.0914. #EndYouthHomelessness We are all in this together!
