In the first chapel service of the new year, Pastor Jeremiah encouraged our students to stay focused on the "Forward" theme for 2020-2021, "forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead." Watch the entire service on our YouTube Channel here: https://youtu.be/pAFnq9mqFpw

On Saturday our junior high students participated in Operation Decoration at the San Diego Rescue Mission. We took 50 students, 9 parents, and 7 staff and decorated all 6 floors of the SDRM. We also donated a truckload of gifts for the women and children who are living there coats, gloves, blankets and toys. The SDRM was so grateful for our help again this year (our 3rd) as the hands and feet of Jesus.
Bestselling author and keynote speaker John Gordon came to share his timely wisdom from his book, The Garden, with our students. He encouraged them to overcome Satan's seeds of doubt, distorted truths, discouragement, distractions, and division with complete trust in God and focusing on who we are in Christ! I was privileged to speak to the school on the this topic - A.S.K. It was so invigorating to hear the energy of these young people praise and pray out loud wi...thout fear. Imagine what could happen if we all release the potential of our faith 3 Parts to Great Faith Results 1. Ask 2. Seek 3. Knock Be specific. Focus your action. Go receive it! Don’t let cloudiness, confusion or laziness stop you. Be couragous and bold! It’s possible if you believe. True faith works! Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 #ak #seek #knock #results #faith #preach #nextgeneration

Our students heard an inspiring message from Brooks Gibbs based on Philippians Chapter 3. He encouraged them to "forget what is behind and reach forward to what is ahead," not seeking the approval of man, but remembering that God loves us and that His approval is more important than man's approval.
