Overview: As a Registered Dental Assistant, be part of our exceptional team, or what we like to consider a family at Christensen Family Orthodontics, as we provide patients advanced orthodontic solutions at the highest standards in a welcoming and laughter-filled environment. We are dedicated to creating an office that not only has a true positive impact on patients' lives, but that further develops your skillsets. We are considering candidates seeking either part-time and fu...ll-time employment. Your primary responsibilities as an Registered Dental Assistant, include removing and replacing wires and auxiliaries, records, sterilization, and communication with patients and parents, just to name a few. Our workweek is Monday through Thursday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. We are primarily at a centrally-located office in Fresno, and 2-3 times per month work at our satellite office in a neighboring community. Responsibilities: -Along with rest of team, provide patients with the utmost quality and personable experience at every appointment -Remove and replace wires and auxiliaries; fit bands and appliances -Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment; clean each operatory in accordance with California infection control guidelines -Complete radiographs, intra- and extra-oral photos, impressions, and digital scans of patients in an efficient and timely manner -Prepare tray setups for orthodontic procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, replenishing as needed -Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care and communicate with parents regarding performed or future procedures -Pour up impressions and fabricate Essix retainers -Record patient charting and notes -Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, HR policies and practices) Qualifications: -Team player -Positive and uplifting personality -Eagerness to learn and improve -Good manual dexterity -Excellent organizational skills -Effective communication skills -High school diploma or GED -CPR certified -Sound knowledge of various orthodontic procedures and practices preferred -Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred -Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) preferred Benefits: -Medical, dental and vision insurance -401K -Quarterly bonus -Employee discount -Paid time off -Fridays off

Unfortunately, crooked teeth is often a target in bullying, which is why we’re partnering with American Association of Orthodontists to help raise awareness around National Bullying Prevention Month (October). Join us at CFO as we take a stand against bullying, because #bullyingbites!

Dr. Christensen has been crushing on today’s #TeamCrushTuesday feature for years, since it’s her husband, Lance, who officially joined the team in September! Lance and Dr. Christensen first met in junior high P.E. They later went on to date and marry, recently celebrating their 7-year anniversary with their 13-month old daughter, Logan, and dog, Indy. At CFO, Lance will be leading the charge on marketing, IT, and patient experience with the help of the rest of the Team! ...Prior to CFO, Lance worked in marketing, partnering with such brands as Red Bull, Nestle, KitchenAid, and Duncan Enterprises in Fresno. Outside of work, Lance enjoys time with his family, running , surfing , reading , and sleeping when his toddler lets him. Lance can’t wait to meet and get to know all the different patients. All that he asks is that you don’t ask Dr. Christensen to share any embarrassing stories about him . See more

The newest member of our team and today’s #TeamCrushTuesday feature is Kylie. Kylie joined the teamed in May and one of her main responsibilities, on top of others, is prescreening patients to ensure everyone’s healthy & safe prior to entering the offices. In addition to working at CFO, Kylie’s a Nurse Tech at Valley Children’s Hospital. When asked her favorite part about working at CFO, she said, I love working with a fun, energetic, and hard-working doctor & team who ...all strive to make sure their patients have the best smile! Outside of CFO and Valley Children’s Hospital, you can find Kylie at the lake with family, enjoying the outdoors with friends, and running with her dog, Harley. Additionally, she’s been active in Junior League of Fresno for 6 years, which is an organization committed to developing the next generation of female civic leaders. If you haven’t met Kylie be sure to say hi at your next visit! She’ll be the first person you’ll see, and while you’re there, ask her how she got the name Harley for her dog. See more

Melissa’s been with the practice since 2018 and loves getting to know & building relationships with patients, not to mention observing their reactions when they first see their new smiles. She also loves her coworkers and considers them an extension of her family. Melissa recently got married to Sean and has two bonus daughters, Taisie and Teslin. In he...r free time, she enjoys being with family, riding horses, and interior design.
