Read below for an update on the market! Initial Jobless Claims | Week of 2/6 Initial Jobless Claims, which measures individuals filing for unemployment benefits for the first time, decreased by 19k to 793,000. But there were revisions of 33,000 to last week, completely eliminating the improvement. Continuing Claims, or those that continue to receive benefits, decreased by 145,000 to 4.5M. The Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Claims, which gives individuals benefits who would not usually qualify, and Pandemic Emergency Claims, which extends claims by 13 weeks after regular benefits expire, increased by 1.5M and 1.2M respectively.
