In addition to assisting motorists and Vehicle Code enforcement, the CHP is actively involved in traffic safety education, including pedestrian and bicycle education. Last week we had the opportunity to go to several schools in the Alum Rock district to hand out free lunches and talk to the kids about safely crossing the street, wearing a helmet on bicycles, and general pedestrian and bicycle safety.
