Today, CHP Hanford Commander Drewry, along with District Attorney Fagundes, Sheriff Robinson, Hanford Chief of Police Sever, Lemoore Chief of Police Kendall, and Corcoran Chief of Police Shortnancy, gathered at the Hanford Adventist Medical Center to thank the staff for providing over 150 COVID-19 vaccinations to local first responders.

When traveling on the freeway and you see authorized vehicles on the shoulder with emergency lights activated (Police, Fire Department, Ambulance, Cal Trans, Tow Truck) then you need to move over to the adjacent lane. If not safe to move over to the adjacent lane, then slow down to a reasonable speed and pass with care.

On 08/31/2020, at approximately 0615 hours, victims in a newer grey Chevrolet Impala were traveling on SR-198 westbound between 4th Avenue 5th Avenue. At this time a newer model White Toyota Camry with tinted windows and black trim pulled beside them. For unknown reasons a passenger from the Toyota Camry presented a firearm and shot at the victims multiple times, striking the vehicle and the right front passenger. Based on victim statements the occupants of the Toyota may ...have been Hispanic males in their twenties. CHP investigators believe this could have been related to a road rage incident. The California Highway Patrol is requesting the assistance of any information regarding this shooting.
