CHAIN CONTROL UPDATE Only Chain restrictions is R2 - 173 from SR18 to Grass Valley Rd.

The whole mountain is at R2 chain restrictions. SR38 is not allowing large vehicle (commercial trucks, buses and large trailers). If you have to drive, be sure to plan ahead and drive slow.

State Route 18,138, 330 and 38 are NOT closed for residents only. There is a lot of traffic due to heavy snow fall in the area, vehicles getting stuck and traffic collisions. We highly recommend if you don’t need to travel up the mountain to not to until roadways are cleared.
