We are shutting back down again here today supposedly until Jan 4 (I’m betting longer). This is an awful situation for many. My heart goes out to the small businesses being destroyed, the people suffering in bad home life situations, the kids kept at home....and the list goes on and on. Even among the many I take care of whom are employed and have good lives, depression is high. I get it. ... This morning during my meditation and journaling I thought about getting myself and my mindset ready for this next shutdown. Some of my personal strategies for keeping my sanity & joy are: Doing my miracle morning 5 days/wk (Which includes- working out, meditating, journaling) Not watching mainstream media/news (I.e. fear porn) Getting lots of rest Drinking lots of water Staying in daily touch with my close, high-vibe friends (we vent, we laugh, we plot, we lift one another up) Hug & cuddle my kids, hubby, & dog often Hang out by the Christmas tree- the lights are magical to me. Take daily walks- appreciating the fresh air and focusing on the beauty around me Take my supplements (and make sure my fam does too- because their health is obv important to me and we can do so much to keep ourselves healthy) Get weekly adjustments (so does my family) Focus, create, & participate in as much holiday joy as possible Say daily affirmations/mantras that help to keep me in a positive mindset (I have them posted all over my kitchen cabinets) Help others daily Listen to positive & inspiring podcasts & books daily (this one is HUGE for me). #mentalhealthmatters #sip #stayingpositive #covid_19 #alameda #bayarealockdown #feelgoodchiropracticalameda #stayingsane #focusingoncontrollables #gratitude #miraclemorning #stayinghealthy #alamedamoms #alamedamamas #alamedapregnancychiropractor #alamedapediatricchiropractor
