Controlled breathing exercises can help relieve stress and anxiety and help you relax, whether it’s before bed or an important meeting. If you’re new to breathing exercises, try this one to start: Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Your eyes can be open or closed. Inhale through your nose for four counts, and then exhale for four counts. Just five minutes of controlled breathing can help calm racing thoughts and lower blood pressure. #inprimehealth #selfcare

Gratitude may help relieve stress and anxiety by focusing on the positive aspects of your life. It can also help you find out what really matters to you and help you focus your time and energy. One way to handle stress is to keep a gratitude journal. How often you write in it is up to you. Try to aim for five items to start. Gratitude journaling has been shown to help reduce stress, anxiety, and have a positive impact on well-being. #gratitude #inprimehealth

Halloween Safety Tip: Drive extra safely during popular trick-or-treating times (5:30pm-9:30pm). If you have to drive, slow down and be extra alert, especially in residential neighborhoods. Enter and exit driveways slowly. Take extra time to look for kids at intersections, on medians and on curbs.
