I am really impressed with how informative and organized Chico Electric is! It’s a breath of fresh air! When he started at Climate Energy Solutions it was a mes...s from day 1. Holy heavens. Here are some ways we take care of our employee’s and a reminder to take care of yourself in this Chico heat! On days forecast to reach 80 degrees or above, heat illness prevention procedures will be implemented. For days forecast to reach 95 degrees or above, high heat procedures will be in effect in addition to heat illness prevention procedures: Site Lead/ Supervisor will maintain adequate amount of water for himself and crew. And check water availability twice a day.... When the temperature exceeds 90 degrees, the Site Lead will provide ice to cool water to a temperature between 50 - 60 degrees Fahrenheit and kept within 50’ of worksite. Shade for employees will also be made available on days when the temperature exceeds 80 degrees Fahrenheit or upon an employee’s request. Allowed and encouraged to take a preventative cool-down rest in the shade at any time when they feel the need to do so to protect themselves from overheating. See more
