Flamenco Chico

Flamenco dance lessons with live + local flamenco guitarists! Every Sunday 5-6PM @ DOWNTOWN DANCE, 163 EAST 3RD STREET. Class is geared towards beginners and we work on rhythm, technique, choreography and improvisation. Suggested sliding scale per class is $5 - $20, however no one is turned away for lack of funds. We'll be focusing on a flamenco style called 'buleria', seen below by amazing young dancers at Casa Patas in Spain.

California Gift of Music is organizing a 3-part concert series at Paradise Performing Arts Center to remember the 1st anniversary of the Camp Fire and fundraise for the re-building of Norton Buffalo Hall. Flamenco takes the stage Sunday Nov 24th with the Grammy award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Adam del Monte, Jack Cimo, and Berto Boyd. Click on link below for tickets.

Having toured professionally since the age of 17, he is gaining international recognition as a soloist and composer. -Jose Moreno, percussionist, singer, and dancer. Born into a family of famous flamenco artists Estrella Morena and Pepe de Málaga, Jose began his flamenco career at an early age.
