#MCSO would like to give a huge shout out to Justin Linderholm, a senior at Minarets High School, for organizing a Christmas Toy Drive to benefit his hometown m...ountain community. Justin organized the toy drive, held at the Coarsegold Rodeo Grounds on 12/12/20, as part of his senior project . With the challenges the mountain community has faced in 2020, including COVID and the Creek Fire, Justin wanted to do something positive to give back. In another selfless gesture, Justin decided to donate the toys from his project to the Madera County Sheriff’s Oakhurst sub station, to be handed out to those in need by our deputies. Over 300 toys were collected from all over the mountain community and even from as far away as Chowchilla. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for Justin’s compassionate undertaking, and the generosity of our Madera County community.
