Ladies and Gentlemen of the Simi Valley Jazz club. I am very sorry to announce that a long time member of SVJC and active board member Nick Renna passed away ye...sterday according to his daughter. I don't have a lot of details but my understanding is he lost his fight with cancer. Prayers for his family. See more

Ladies and Gentlemen This is to all members of SVJV. Including the Board of Directors I have not posted to this site since March. I wanted to stay in touch with... all of you and hope that you are all safe and healthy. I wanted to give you all an up-date on where we stand with the club. I was notified by the Simi Senior Center that the City Manager has closed the Senior Center TFN. That means until further notice we have no place to perform. My guess and this is only a guess is that it may be the end of fall Octoberish that we get back together. This is NOT to suggest that the club is finished at least not under my watch. As they say we will get through this.and start performing again. I may start posting some club videos on this site just to keep it active and for entertainment value. LOTS OF DANCING AND FABULOUS BIG BAND SOUNDS AS CCJC PRESENTS LARRY COSSID'S STUDIO C BAND AT THE HOUSE OF DANCE, 3700 BUNSEN AVE., VENTURA, SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 1-4. PROGRAM STARTS WITH THE OXNARD HIGH SCHOOL BAND AND THEN JAMMERS TO OPEN THE PROGRAM.

Phoenyx Big Band With Michael Falcone

On Sunday, January 19, CCJC (Channel Citites Jazz Club) will start its 2020 season by featuring THE PHOENYX BIG BAND that specializes in music from the Swing Era with a touch of R&B and other dance styles sure to please all you dancers and music lovers out there. The event will be held at The House of Dance at 3007 Bunsen, Suite E, in Ventura from 1-4. Jammers are welcome for the first part of the program and the feature band will start at 2:30. Admission is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. CCJC will feature different dance bands each 3rd Sunday of the month at this location from 1-4. Be sure to like us on Facebook!!
