Happy Founders Day! While we would usually spend the morning singing Chandler's school song together, there's no reason we can't celebrate virtually. Check out Mr. Finch's Morning Message to our students: https://youtu.be/eUlLJQA2eIk Thanks to our school leaders for bringing us together and showing us the importance of keeping our traditions and creating new ones. Here's to the next 70 years! #FoundersDay #FoundersDay2020

Hello Shamrocks! My grandfather, Mr. Mac (MacQuoid) taught science and started the sports program at Chandler. He taught at Chandler from the 1960's to 1992. Mr.... Mac, my Grandfather, is in the ICU, and it's difficult to know if he will recover. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers! If you knew Mr. Mac, please consider joining the fb group linked below, which was created to be a dedicated space to share our memories and photos of Mr. Mac (MacQuoid). Link to group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1615428031959925/permalink/1615434328625962/ I loved getting to Chandler every morning, remembers former Athletic Director and science teacher Clyde MacQuoid of his 30-year career at the school. I walked across the bridge every morning looking at the San Gabriel mountains and the kids playing, and it always put a smile on my face." ~ Clyde MacQuoid from the 2014 Shamrock newsletter

As we celebrate #TeacherAppreciation this week, we wanted to share this article from our very own TIME for Kids reporter fifth-grader Priscilla. In this article, she recognizes Ms. Collins and Ms. Tallman, two of our amazing teachers. Read more here:
The Toyko's Sumida Aquarium has been closed since March 1 due to the pandemic and zookeepers are starting to worry about the #gardeneels. They are used to seeing hundreds of faces peering into their tanks, but now that the aquarium is empty, they've started to dive into the sand whenever their keepers walk past. This makes it hard to check they're healthy. Can you help the eels by Face-timing with them this week? #rememberus
