R.I.P. MerryLegs...you were our newest addition to the BITS family only having been here about 2 months but what an influence you had on teaching young riders b...oth here and at Challenge Ranch. I have heard from several of you who told me that MerryLegs was your Best Friend & how much your child Loved him! Our vet tried so hard for 4 days to save you but in the end we did the kindest thing we knew how to and let you go with the dignity & grace you so well deserved! If you're so inclined we would sure appreciate your donations to help with our unexpected emergency veterinary expenses! You touched so many lives & taught so many kids so much! We are so grateful for the time we had with you & you will be sincerely missed! Run free into the grass filled pastures sweet pony! Please feel free to share your favorite MerryLegs memories! Merrylegs left Challenge Ranch to go help the kids at "Back in the Saddle" (a 501(c)(3) non profit corp,) in Alpine. He has colic, the Vet has made several visits, I will keep you posted on his condition. I know how many of you love Merrylegs, if anyone can help with Vet bills or just want to wish him well, please let Elisa Perskin (CEO) know

The moment I first went into Challenge Ranch I knew, that this would be my forever happy place and that I would make amazing memories.. I was right. I went in n...ot having any riding experience and I remember when I was assigned to Casanova. In our relationship there was blood, sweat and tears and I just wanted to give up and Jane acknowledged me not to, I’m so glad she did because the more I worked hard the more I got better and the more I knew this is what I want to do in life. I will never forget all of the talks at lunch about things we never even knew existed and the lessons where we learned about cankles and how we do NOT want them. I will never forget the endless laughter I have had and caused. I will never forget the time at camp when Jane and Ron dressed up as Zoe and I. This will forever be my second home and family and I just want to thank Jane and Ron for being like my second parents and always taking care of me and giving me countless opportunities Thank you for always telling me to never give up, I really needed that. When I am feeling down I will always look back on these memories because all of these memories made me who I am today. Thank you for devoting your time for us challenge ranchers. We love you forever and always. See more
