Hi Central Families! As you know, due to the unfortunate pandemic we have been fighting, our 2020 Spring season was cancelled. Over the last few months we have been reviewing finances and working with vendors to see what expenses could be recouped prior to informing what refund we would be ble to offer our families. We definitely appreciate your patience while we worked these things out. Our board has determined we will be issuing partial refunds to all our families. We have ...many expenses that we pay for in advance, and rely on the membership fees to help recoup for the season. Unfortunately, we were not able to get refunds from all vendors and will need to deduct those expenses from the registration fees before issuing refunds. We will be deducting a total of $55.21 from everyone's registration fees to help cover those expenses paid out. Refunds will be distributed to our families on June 1st, 2020 at El Capitan Middle School. Please feel free to reach out to the board with any questions you may have. We appreciate your patience and understanding and hope all of our families are staying safe and healthy! See you all next season! ~CYSA Board~

Our board has been watching closely to all the updates and we have had numerous discussions on whether we will be able to hold our 2020 Season. As much as we love the game and want to foster the growth and development of the girls in the game, we are sad to announce that we will not be hosting a 2020 season. We understand the next question on everyone’s minds will be if a refund will be issued. And ...the answer is, yes, but our board does not have an amount established at this time. We want to get you the best refund as possible, and in order to ensure that, we are waiting to hear if we will be getting reimbursed for expenses we have already paid out for this season. Dear CYSA Members, We live, love and breathe softball, but keeping our athletes safe and healthy is a top priority for our organization. At this time we are taking the necessary precautions with the lead of our local school district to ensure the safety of our athletes. As of Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2020, all Central Unified Schools are closed for non- essential activities, including recreational sports. Until the closure has been lifted we will be suspending our lea...gues practices and games. So far, this closure will remain until April 20, 2020. At that time we will be able to further advise our membership to the next steps for the Spring 2020 Softball Season. While we understand the disappointment that may come with this decision, the decision was made in the best interest of the health and safety of our athletes, volunteers, and their family and friends. We will be in contact with information as soon as it becomes available to us. Thank you for your understanding at this time.
