Reminder & update regarding Santa coming to Corte Madera & Larkspur!

Today we received delivery of 3 LUCAS devices which are an easy-to-use mechanical chest compression device that helps lifesaving teams deliver high-quality chest compressions to sudden cardiac arrest patients. These devices were made available through a FEMA grant. Each of our engines have at least one Paramedic on board and our ambulance has two Paramedics to provide the highest level of care as quick as possible.

Our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters of the San Francisco Fire Department and the family of Firefighter/Paramedic Jason Cortez.

Central Marin Fire remains fully staffed while also having the following assisting with fires throughout the state E613 with 4 personnel at the North Complex E14 with 4 personnel at the Glass Fire... 1 Safety officer at the Creek Fire 1 line paramedic at the August Complex 1 line paramedic at the North Complex

During this red flag warning there are 36 additional firefighters staged at the Best Western hotel in Novato ready to respond to vegetation fires in Marin at a moments notice. This location allows the strike teams to be on the freeway in either direction in minutes. We are ready should you need us. @abc7newsbayarea

E613 is assisting @marincountyfire with the devils gulch fire. E613 is part of a propositioned strike team in Marin County. This is a group of 5 engines from Marin county fire agencies ready to respond quickly and supplement the normal dispatch to any vegetation fire in Marin during the increased fire danger during the red flag warning.

This morning at 11:50 A.M. crews were dispatched for a vehicle fire on the Greenbrae interchange. While en route the call was upgraded to a vegetation fire working up from the Southbound Sir Francis Drake offramp to homes on Via La Cumbre. Responding units quickly arrived and stopped the fire at the fence line of multiple houses before it could advance to the deck and/or homes. @marincountyfire @sanrafaelfirefighters @kentfieldfire @ Greenbrae, California

Central Marin Fire currently has 6 personnel providing mutual aid to California. Two line paramedics are at the #goldfire and Engine 613 is also at the #goldfire as part of strike team 2140C. All stations and apparatus in Central Marin remain fully staffed.

M-14 assisting @rossvalleyfire and @kentfieldfire with an extrication assignment - vehicle off the roadway and on top of a person. The patient was transported to Marin Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Red Flag Warning in effect tonight starting at 10pm until tomorrow evening at 8pm
