Any of these sound familiar?

This article breaks my heart because it's so true. The one things it fails to mention, however, is that most of the dads in question operate in this way due to the effects of the toxic patriarchy. The patriarchy has done a number on relationships and has very insidiously affected the psyches of men, women, and non-binary folks alike. ... Helping to heal those hurts is one of the reasons I love what I do when it comes to my work with couples. Through our couples counseling intensives and retreats, I help couples learn how to get back into a partnership, into right relationship, and as a result they undo years (we're talking generations) of damage and get to set a new example for their kids. I currently have space open to support 2 couples over the next month through my intensives. Reach out if you are ready for that level of support, not only for yourself, but for our future generations. *** "The pandemic isn’t forcing mothers out of the workforce it’s just shining a light on long-standing inequalities. The coronavirus doesn’t care who does the dishes or who helps with homework. So when we talk about these issues, let’s be precise: Covid-19 may be making it harder for parents to balance their home and work lives; but it’s dads who are making it harder for moms." https://gen.medium.com/the-pandemic-isnt-forcing-moms-out-o

How's this for some hilarious, yet oh so true, truth bombs? Disney Princesses continue to perpetuate harmful and toxic messages in the minds and psyches of girls and women. I'm still working to recover from its effects.... How about you?

Beautiful article written by my colleague and a woman who I both admire and have learned from. "You don't have to wait until there's a crisis or things are unbearable to get help. Therapy, relationship coaching, or meetings with clergy, if you are religious, can make a tremendous difference in healing relationships and helping couples have a deeper connection. "If you're at a crossroads with your marriage, look to see if you're on the same path my parents went down. Ask yours...elf these questions: Is my spouse my friend and teammate? Are my spouse and I honest with each other? Do we spend quality time together? Do I turn toward my marriage for the solution to my problems? Have we asked for help? Your answers will reveal what you need to do nextif anything." -Susan Pease Gadoua
