CEL is proud to be a part of the Bear Creek Redwood Public Access Project. The project entails a new park as well as new public access roads. The project is underway, and CEL Inspector Jacob Ackerman has been a part of the project, performing soils compaction.

Inspector John Sasser is well underway performing compaction testing on the levee at the Montezuma Wetlands Restoration Project, Phase 1. Restoration and enhancement of wetlands at the 2,400 acre site are taking place via engineered placement of approximately 17.5 million cubic yards of suitable dredged sediment to raise the subsided site to elevations appropriate for restoration of 1,877 acres of tidal and seasonal wetlands, over four phases. CEL is proud to be a part of the seismic upgrade of 350 California Street in San Francisco. CEL Inspector Rick Dahl is an integral part of the project, heading up welding inspections for the team.

CEL is proud to be performing special inspections and materials testing on the Maui Conrac project. The $340 million consolidated rental car facility at the Kahului Airport with a tram system could be open by May 2019 if the weather holds, said the Maui Airports district managerThe solar-powered electric tram will run on one track from the rental car facility with stops at the check-in area and baggage claim. CEL Hawaii inspectors are lucky to have a break in the rain, as well as the ability to live and work in this beautiful place!

CEL Inspector John Sasser has been performing soils compaction on a the 2,400 acre Montezuma Wetlands Restoration project. The project is at the eastern edge of the Suisun Marsh near the town of Collinsville, approximately 17 miles southeast of Fairfield. Surface elevations at the site have subsided up to 10 feet since the historical tidal marshes were diked and drained for agricultural use more than 100 years ago. Restoration and enhancement of wetlands at the site are taking place via engineered placement of approximately 17.5 million cubic yards of suitable dredged sediment to raise the subsided site to elevations appropriate for restoration of 1,877 acres of tidal and seasonal wetlands. The project will be accomplished over four Phases of this Project. CEL is proud to be a part of it.

CEL is proud to be performing special inspections on the new Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo. The project includes a new museum and education building, as well as an outdoor zoo and and netted enclosure. CEL Inspector Terri Genereux is acting as lead special inspector on site.

CEL recently completed special inspections on Phase 1 for the Coleman Highline project, located in San Jose, CA. The project was constructed by Devcon Construction, and is owned by Hunter Properties. Phase 1 of the project consists of one 5-story office building approximately 166,000 SF, and one 6-story office building approximately 198,000 SF, that connects to the first building at the third floor by a pedestrian bridge called the Highline walkway. The project also includes an amenity building. CEL was just awarded Phase 2 which is identical aside from the addition of a 501K SF, 1701 stall parking garage. The design/build core and shell office development consists of steel buildings and a unitized curtain wall system.
