CCA Girl's Volleyball

Congrats to our very own Adeline Picker on making the Prep Volleyball Frosh 59, a selection of the top 59 varsity playing freshman in the country. #Frosh59 Adeline Picker, 5-5 S, Canyon Crest Academy (San Diego, California) 2019 was a rebuilding year for the Ravens, who saw Picker emerge as a starting setter in a 6-2 offense for an 18-15 team. The freshman averaged 12.4 assists per match and was good defensively and on serve. With a young group, Addie was surprisingly mature and composed, even during stressful situations, said coach Ariel Haas. She was consistent and located extremely well. She was especially adept at setting the middles/quicks on out of system passes, more so than any setter I’ve had in the past. Addie rarely came off the court and became an asset and integral to the team’s success.

Another season has come to an end...a loss in the quarterfinals of cif to a good Scripps Ranch team. What a wonderful group of young women who came together throughout the season and learned what it took to compete at the highest levels.

Happy Halloween from CCA Volleyball!

Lots of positive from the weekend after a 3rd place finish at the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions which included a 09-13 come back in the 5th set 16-14 of the 3rd place match! Congrats to Audrey Sawyer on being named to the all tournament team.

Congrats to the CCA girls JV squad for finishing 2nd in the annual Wolverine tournament!
