This year’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival is celebrating 18 years of inspiring activism through film and art. This coming Sunday January 17th, you can catch cbec Senior Design Lead Sam Diaz present on the panel "From Concept to Breaking Ground: A How-To Guide to River Restoration." SYRCL - The South Yuba River Citizens League and this panel of experts and stakeholders will discuss what it takes to design and implement large-scale river restoration projects. You will be regaled ...with stories of perseverance, tales of unlikely relationships, and proof of a resilient Yuba River. Join the panelists as they talk about their experience identifying promising locations for restoration projects, and working with private and government landowners. The panelists will also discuss working through the design process, collecting data, and developing scientifically rigorous monitoring protocols, and what goes into managing and monitoring construction at a project location.
