The History of Sugaring! Sugaring (epilation) Sugaring, sugar waxing or Persian waxing is a method of hair removal that has been in use since 1900 BC. Historically, sugar was confined to the regions surrounding Persia until the first millennium AD. As a result, it is speculated that honey was the first sugaring agent. The body sugaring method of hair removal is originally considered to be an ancient Egyptian art, even purportedly used by Cleopatra herself! The Persian women were the first to approve a hairless body to be the epitome of beauty and youth.

Getting Ready for Sugaring! Hair must be at least inch long. Hair should not be excessively long ... (4-5 weeks without hair removal is too long). In that case! I ask you to please trim the area down for your comfort, prior to your appointment. The longer the hair, the sugar will pull and that's not fun. (Ouch!) If I need to trim you there will be an extra charge for that and I will need extra times. Skin should be clean and dry. Avoid using any powders, sprays, or lotions prior to your sugaring appointment. No Gym, Running or Exercising prior to treatment as that will make you hot and it melts the sugar causing sticking.
