"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." ~Degas Through the Community Art Wall, The City of Santa Clarita in partnership with the Westfield Valencia Town Center offers an opportunity for the five Santa Clarita Valley school districts to display their students’ art. The art displayed this month offers a variety of styles and techniques from our Castaic Union School District students. Congratulations to our #CastaicMiddleSchool Students of the Quarter! Each quarter CMS teachers nominate students who show outstanding achievement/effort for Student of the Quarter. One 7th grade student and one 8th grade student are then chosen from the list of nominees as the overall Student of the Quarter. Here Principal, Bob Brauneisen, and Assistant Principal, Nicole Price recognized their two Student of the Quarter winners with pizza, dessert, balloons, and a certificate. Some exciting news to share. Weekend meals will be sent home tomorrow, October 23, and then every Friday thereafter. Every child will receive meals for Saturday and Sunday at the Friday drive-up service. @SchoolDayCafe
