CASP Triton Transfer Highlight In honor of National Transfer Student Week, we are excited to highlight CASP student Ken Guinto (2018 Cohort) and share his story and piece of advise for transfer students! Hello! My name is Ken Guinto. I am a 2018 transfer student from San Diego City College and my major at UCSD is Nanoengineering with two minors in General Biology and Japanese Studies. I've done research in topics that have included: opportunistic pathogens in water distri...bution networks for cleaner water, cancer disparities in the Japanese community to reduce ethnic epidemiological trends, and innovative methods for applied nanomedicine using type-1 collagen. I am interested in a medical school experience abroad (in Southeast Asia) to earn dual MD and PhD degrees. My piece of advice to other current transfer students is "trust yourself for the choices that you are making today because these choices are also shaping your future the correct way for you." Thank you Ken and happy National Transfer Student Week! #caspfam #nationaltransferstudentweek @ UC San Diego See more
