Red, white, and updo one of my regular clients usually does blue highlights over her gray. She is 75 years young and as always been passionate about politics and activism. She said she wanted to do something different and at the same time make a political statement. When I asked her why she chose these colors in a time where America feels so divisive, she replied I want to send the message that I believe in the systems in place that make this county function. Also that m...y belief in these systems doesn’t rely on the outcome of this election, whatever that may be. That made me really evaluate how I feel about my county in this moment. I think sometimes in order for things to improve they need to fall apart and be reconstructed again. I have evidence of that with the changes I have made in my own life. Your voice matters. In spite of outcomes we can find ways to be ok with the things we cannot control. But let’s take advantage of the things we can. Vote like your life depends on it!
