So Christmas is just around the corner... And I wanted to put this out there... A pet is a Life Long Commitment... Not just a Christmas Present...... So PLEASE think about this before you give a puppy/kitten as a gift. They require a lot of attention, training and work each and every day/night. / Their life is a gift, don’t waste it. If you really are considering it... Here are some more things to think over... Simply don’t gift them as a surprise! Go together, it’s just as exciting. Make sure they are able to have a pet, especially with the landlords. Make sure your family or the person/s you are giving it to will be able to give the pet the requirements it will need. (Proper shelter, vetting, training, patience, time, exercise, maintenance/grooming, etc.) Make sure you know the info about the pet, how big it will get, how much it will end up eating at adult size, how much exercise it will need, etc... will you/they be able to provide for that? Try adopting an older pet from a rescue or the shelter instead of a puppy/kitten, they want love just as much as a young one does.
