Daisy is currently reading Middle School: Master of Disaster by James Patterson, while Libby is checking out doggie nonfiction on Overdrive! Our buildings are still closed, but you can check out books, movies, and more using our Sidewalk Service: https://lacountylibrary.org/express-service/ Also, be sure to check out our massive collection of e-books and audiobooks on Overdrive: https://lacountylibrary.overdrive.com/

We know it can take a long time to find that perfect book. Just ask our friend the sloth! At a maximum speed of 0.17 mph, we are guessing he has been slowly making his way around our libraries for days and days searching for a good book. Save time by letting us do the work for you! Share your reading preferences with us, and get a list of title recommendations from your local librarian. Visit https://lacountylibrary.org/more-books/... to get started. Select libraries are serving as Voting Centers to provide an in-person option for those who aren’t voting by mail. Carson Library is NOT a Voting Center this year, so our Sidewalk Service will not be suspended. We do have a Vote by Mail (VBM) ballot drop box located at the front entrance of the Library, however, where you can conveniently drop off your VBM ballot. No postage required! To find the Voting Center nearest you, see: https://locator.lavote.net/locations/vc?id=4193&culture=en For the safety of our staff and customers, and due to capacity restrictions at our libraries, we have made the decision to temporarily suspend Sidewalk Service at Voting Center locations for the duration of the Voting Centers. Get more information by visiting: https://lacountylibrary.org/vote/
