This was me and this *is* me. I've been trying to reconcile both for the last several months. Bear with me, I'm still trying to make sense of lost time, still looking for goodness in the rubble. We--personally--are ok but my heart aches for those who are not. ALL OF IT. I have faith that we can be better and we will grow.....but, damn, this sucks. It hurts. So I haven't been much of a photographer. I've been waiting and grieving and minding my babies and pouring another glass of wine. The good news is that my soul is finally stirring. Every season is only a season. I'm really hopeful for the season after this one.

Welcome baby Eloise and baby makes six! Delicious newborn baby YES PLEASE. Sometimes I need to be reminded how precious life is. My family and I listen to kid's show in the car a lot. Recently a character on the show announced a new pregnancy and they talked about all of the joy that babies bring. I'm causally listening and without warning I start crying. all. of. the. tears. Now I KNOW how self-sacrificing and tiring and hard parenting is--can I get an amen?! But s...ometimes I need the gray-haired woman in the first pew to lean over and whisper knowingly with a wink, "Babies are a blessing from God." Because they are and my soul knows it, work and all. And that's all I see looking at this beautiful growing family. So welcome to the world, little one.
