Photo, by Ray Bacerdo, who attended our last harvest among many. Thank you & all for making this harvest of 2020 Cab Franc & Petit Verdot a major success & fun. We harvested a total of 3,000Lbs. Amazing people all came together to celebrate an END of a season.

Harvest took place while all attendees observed social distancing in accordance to county & state requirements. We harvested our Pinot Noir 2020 vintage 1700 Lbs., Cabernet Sauvignon 1077 Lbs., and Petite Sirah 5000 Lbs.. An amazing group of friends, family & Captain Vineyards members joined the harvest celebration!! The grapes are fermenting right now!! the aroma is breath taking.

Our limited Pinot Noir production, already going though veraison: "The stage at which red grapes darken and white grapes turn from bright green to an opaque green-yellow," started a week ago!! That means harvest is around the corner. We are excited to see the development, this year passed so fast!! As to how business is going and what are we doing? well here it is:... Due to Covid-19, our process had to change to reduce exposure and contact for all concerned. You can experience outdoor beauty underneath the canopy of Oak trees on the Vineyard Deck and enjoy a short secluded retreat while tasting your own selections of Captain Wine. We have approx. 18 individual varieties/vintages of wines to choose from at this time. We also offer a collection of 4 Artisan cheeses to pair with the different wines, plus varieties of nuts and crackers, as well as home-baked Sourdough bread. We are available at the vineyard to answer any questions you may have, though we must maintain social distancing and all must wear masks. Please allot no more than 90 minutes for the total experience. We do not accept more than 3 groups of tasters at any one time; and it's first booked, first accepted. Cheers!

The work on our vineyard continues, infrastructure, the wires, posts and then, we tucked, thinned north side of the canopy and we reduced our grapes per vine. We are looking for absolutely the best clusters on the Vine.
