Take action to help those facing food insecurity in Kern County. ABC 23 and CAPK are teaming up to collect food for the CAPK Food Bank today. Drop off canned and boxed non-perishable food at the ABC 23 Offices at 21st and V Street in Downtown Bakersfield or donate online at capk.org/programs/food-bank/. Today's food distribution at Catholic Charities was the last Free Farmers Market for the year. As hunger continues to grow in our community, we are thankful for all the volunteers and community partners who make these events possible.
Today CAPK Head Start and Early Head Start programs picked up pumpkins that will be used to support our educational curriculum. Children will be carving, feeling and exploring them while discussing Harvesting and Fall Themes. Thank you to everyone who made this happen.
