Hello Capitol Ballet Company artists, patrons, family, and friends: We hope you are well and safe during this unprecedented time. Many of us have faced challenges from the Covid-19 corona virus pandemic, and may continue to do so in the foreseeable future. Due in part to the pandemic, many non-profit community organizations are finding themselves with increasing financial needs. With this in mind the Sacramento Regional Community Foundation and local partners are proceed...ing with the 2020 Big Day of Giving nationwide fundraiser on May 7th. Capitol Ballet Company is one of the non-profit organizations in need of critical support for basic operating expenses. We ask that those of you who are able to contribute, to please consider donating to Capitol Ballet Company's 2020 Big Day of Giving fundraiser. This is an online fundraiser. Additionally, the Golden One Credit Union has agreed to match a percentage of donations made using Golden One accounts. Each of us can also initiate our own personal fundraiser for Capitol Ballet Company by clicking onto https://www.bigdayofgiving.org/CapitolBalletCompany, then clicking onto Create a Fundraiser and following the prompts. This is an easy way to connect with your friends and family through your various social media accounts. Money donated to Capitol Ballet Company is used entirely to support the ballet education of your students, as we are an all-volunteer organization. Given the corona virus pandemic and potential economic recession, we will focus this year's fundraising on general expenses to help ensure that the studio's operational costs and the 2020 presentation of The Nutcracker are fully funded. Your generous donations will support expenses such as: studio storage, insurance, and rent, as well as expenses related to presenting The Nutcracker, including theater rental, costume maintenance, guest artists, technical staff, videography, various supplies, marketing and printing.
