Hi All! We are asking for support at tomorrow’s (2/9/21) CLPOA Board Meeting via Zoom at 6pm ZOOM LINK HERE http://ow.ly/1nYp50Cyxrq ... The board will be discussing several important items including a proposed rule which would limit the access for wake surfing in the North Ski Area to only the backwater, behind the buoys, even when there are no skiers present. Not only does this effect our regular lake days with family and friends, but the proposed rule change would likely effect the ability to have wake surf as a category at our events, including competitions and learn to ride days. Currently, wake surfing primarily takes place in the backwater, behind the slalom course, but when skiers are not present, it allows us to utilize the slalom course area for surfing, foiling, etc. The people supporting this rule feel our wakes are hurting course buoys and judges stands placed there by other clubs. We respect all water sports and we feel everyone should have the right to choose their sport of choice without being limited to such small water areas.
