During this rainy weekend I’m thinking back to last weekend when Pisco and I went paddle boarding for the first time on our new @irockersup paddle board, and without the guidance of Sam with @sup_pups. Bindi wanted to go, but she doesn’t have a life vest. No only did I not fall in, but I stood up way longer than I usually have before, so for me it was a success! Pisco on the other hand fell off just as we were pushing away from shore, and I’m pretty sure needed to pee ...for most of the time we were out - he wouldn’t stop whining. Hopefully he’ll get more comfortable the more we go out. We joined some friends at the #carlsbadlagoon and the water was like glass and the tide was in so we were able to explore back in the marshy areas. There were cranes (or maybe egrets...or both) and some duck-like birds that weren’t ducks, and of course jumping fish. It was a lovely day. Pisco was in desperate need of a good grooming and I wasn’t super thrilled with the place we had gone before, so I did some searching and discovered @barkhousesd1. They have rave reviews and are located just minutes from my home in #hillcrest. Scheduling was just an easy phone call as they were able to get Pisco in the next day. Parking is a little confusing. There are only 2 spots directly outside on the street, but there is a lot behind the building. They require proo...f of a current rabies vaccination for your first appointment. They have a full selection of @stellaandchewys, including cat options, and lots of other high end products. I am thrilled with how Pisco turned out. They even gave him a cute #thanksgiving bandana and a chewy (which we took home).
