A few lessons from my dad: 1. You work hard in life and never forget to pay your self a little. Go on a hunt, take time for yourself, you earned it. 2. Hunting can be summed up in 2 choices: should have waited / should have shot. ... 3. Lastly, maybe the biggest thing that has stuck with me is my dad’s generosity. He never had much money and worked as a truck driver and carpenter his whole life. He showed me more than telling me, that the more you invest in others’ experiences, the more you will get out of them. He continually extended himself to others that wanted to learn how to hunt and experience their first hunt. Now with a child of my own, giving him his first duck hunt last winter was one of greatest gifts I have ever received hunting. Thanks Dad for being a giver. See more

At Cana we make films and take pictures that move us in the great outdoors. Kill some animals of our own along the way. But hopefully in the end, we can look back and honestly say we stand and share respect for all people equally, honor their passions, and celebrate this great nation together that gives us so many opportunities to treasure. To rob anyone of that honor, respect, and opportunity to embrace American freedom would be criminal.
